Suspect sought for pair of violent robberies in Center City

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect behind two violent robberies in Center City.

The first incident happened last Thursday evening at the 7-Eleven on the 1200 block of Chestnut Street.

Police say the suspect took several items after punching an employee several times.

The second incident happened about 30 minutes later, along the 1600 block of Walnut Street.

Police say the suspect stole a 34-year-old man's phone, and when he tried to get it back, the suspect punched him repeatedly.
